Welcome to you, Magic Players ! I created this site to make available to the Magic the Gathering community a set of tools I developed, designed to improve the pleasure of this great game and to facilitate its discovery.
These tools were created to meet some needs felt by the players. Thus, they will help you:
  • to create a Visual Spoiler of any existing set (a visual spoiler is a file that contains all the scans of a set's cards given),
  • to discover and to analyze a block or a set in a simple and intuitive way,
  • to create a deck from cards scans, as it can be done with Magic Online (Magic Online is the "online" game of Magic the Gathering : for more informations, please click here), but without requiring software installation !

Inspired by Magic Online, I created the 3 following tools: You can use these tools immediately, or read their detailed presentations: all information about them is in the box on the right.Do not worry, they are very easy to handle.

To function optimally, this site needs :
  • Enabling Javascript,
  • One of the following screen resolution: 1024 * 768 or 1280 * 1024 (works also in 800*600),
  • An Internet browser: checked with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera. However, it must work with all browsers.

VS Creator
The "VS Creator" is a tool that, from a name of a set (or block), will display a Visual Spoiler of this set (or this block). It is generated quickly and rank all the cards by color, type, cost converted, and by name. It provides a Visual Spoiler of any edition : no more tedious research on the Internet to find Visual Spoilers old sets!
How does it work ?
The "VS Creator" works very simply : just choose your edition due to the drop-down list in the title and the Visual Spoiler is generated immediately !
VS Manager
The "VS Manager" is a tool that displays scans of a set (or block) in a small "virtual binder", a batch of 6, 8 or 10 cards (depending on the configuration of your screen) and allows you to do research on cards with simple and intuitive filters, in the manner of Magic Online (MTGO).
How does it work ?
The operating principle is as follows :
  • First, you choose an edition (or a block) with the drop-down list in the title. All editions are managed.
  • Once the cards emerged, you can perform searches with the filter's options ( the square icons in the upper left ). To do this, simply click on the box of your choice: cards that do not correspond to the selected criteria disappear. For example, if you click on the icon , only red cards remain visible. The filter options are detailed below.
  • The cards are displayed in a virtual binder. To change the page, just click on the arrows , located respectively in the upper left and upper right corner of the binder.
  • To see a card in large format, just move the mouse over the card : it appears enlarged, under the filter box.
Filter's options :

To filter by color. The box without any symbol is the icon for "Colorless" cards.
The "Gold" icon (with all mana symbols) and the "Hybrid" icon works differently than the others :
when they are selected, the filter return only cards which have ALL the chosen colors (rather than returning cards which have at least one chosen color ).

To filter by type and "special type". From left to right: Land, Artifact, Creature, Instant, Sorcery, Enchantment. Special types are "Planeswalker" and "Tribal" (2 options left), because I thought this could be useful.

To filter by rarity and converted cost. Rarity icons use Lorwyn symbol, because I start to develop my tools with Lorwyn prerelease.

To filter by words. If a card contains the seized word in its name, type or its rules text, it is displayed. After you have written a word, tap "Enter" to launch the search.
Be careful, the search only works with english words that contains more than 3 letters !

VS Deck Creator
The "VS Deck Creator" is an evolution of the "VS Manager": providing the same cards display and the same features, it allows in addition to build a deck by clicking on cards of the virtual binder. The decks can then be stored on the site, or export to be tested and used in Magic Online, Apprentice and Magic Workstation, the principal softwares to play Magic.
How does it work ?
The operating principle is as follows :
  • First, you choose an edition (or a block) with the drop-down list in the title. All editions are managed.

To do this, simply click on the box of your choice: cards that do not correspond to the selected criteria disappear. For example, if you click on the icon , only red cards remain visible.   • To add cards to your deck, you can simply click on the wanted cards : a simple click adds 1 copy of the chosen card in the deck.
    You can add cards from both the binder or the large-format version of a card.
    When you're done, you can save your deck or export it as a text file that you can use in MTGO, Apprentice or MWS. If you save your deck, it will be stored on the server and you can retrieve and modify it later.
    All instructions for the deck construction are detailed below in "How to create a deck?".
How to create a deck ?
The construction of decks is simple and takes over quickly, but it requires a little attention during the first uses.
When you launch the "VS Deck Creator", by default, your deck is empty. You have a choice between load a deck that you saved or create a new one.

Loading decks :
Only decks saved can be loaded. Once loaded, the operation is strictly identical to the creation of decks.
Be careful, you must always choose in first the block or extension with which you want to work before loading your deck ! Any change of blocks (or sets) leads to refresh the page and therefore you lose the deck that you select : you will need to reload it. Also, remember to always save your deck before changing block or set: if you don't do it, the page's refresh would lose all your changes !
Creating decks :
First, you should know that in the "VS Deck Creator", a deck is broken into 2 lists: the deck and the sideboard. You can complete and move from one list to the other as you wish. Only one list is visible at once: we will refer to this list by "active list" and "inactive list" will be the other list. By default, the deck is the "active list" and the sideboard the "inactive list". So when you start, if you decide to add a card, it will be placed in the list of the deck. To change the list, just click on buttons "Sideboard" and "Deck".
  • Add a card in the active list: made a simple left-click on the card of your choice: it is automatically added to the active list. If it was already present, the quantity of the card increases by 1. You can add cards from both the binder or the card large scan.
  • Remove or delete a card of the active list: made a simple left-click on the name of the card (column "Name" in the table of the deck) that you want to delete. This reduces the quantity of this card by 1. If the quantity is equal to 1, the card is removed from the list.
  • Send a card from the active list to the inactive list: made a double left click on the name of a card (column "Name" in the table of the deck) to send it to your inactive list.
  • View a scan of a card in the active list: simply move your mouse over the name of a card in order to display the card in large format to the usual position.
  • Constraints and limitations:
    - You can't add more than 4 copies of a card.
    - You can't add more than 150 different cards in a deck.
    - Only users who creates an account can use all the features of VS Deck Creator. Non-members will only access to a less complete version.
Options du deck :
To load a previously saved deck. This option appears only if you have saved at least 1 deck.
Choose the deck you want to see in the list box and then click on "Load Deck." The deck appears as it was when you've saved it.
This table contains statistics on deck, namely:
"Lan." = Number of lands,
"Cre." = Number of creatures,
"Oth." = Number of other spells than land or creature,
"Tot." = The total number of cards.
To switch from the list of the deck to the list of sideboard, and vice versa.
To save your deck on the server: a window will appear asking you the name you want to give your deck, then it will be saved. Beware, if you give the name of a deck already exists, the one that exists will be replaced by the new. For security reasons, you can't for the moment save more than 10 decks.
To export your deck as a text file. Can be imported into Magic Online, Apprentice and Magic Workstation.
Be careful, the exported decks are not automatically saved ! If you want to keep it for later, you must also save it after the export !
